A Quick Hello!

I'm doing a quick update to say hello and to show everyone what I've been up to the past few months. I had a great Mother's Day weekend. We took a quick day trip to southern Wisconsin and visited the Elegant Farmer (featured on the Food Network's Throw Down program) for one of their apple pies baked in a paper bag. I also purchased 4 Roma tomato plants. I am not one of the talented Blogger gardeners but I love Bruschetta and I'm determined to supply my own Romas this year. I will put them in a patio planter and hope I don't kill them.

I asked for a traditional, wooden picnic table stained redwood for my Mother's Day gift from my dh. We had one when I was a child and I loved that table ...spent many a happy hour playing in our backyard and the table was always part of the fun. My dh thought I was crazy but he did buy me one and he's in the process of staining it this week. Whoo Hoo!

We also had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory....heaven is Louisiana Chicken Pasta and strawberry shortcake.

My son bought me the first season DVD set of Falcon Crest (loved that show), the latest Sade CD and the first three books in Nora Roberts, The Bride Quartet. I'm a happy girl!

The website and contest that I coordinate is sponsoring the annual romance cover contest this month. Visitors can vote in six different categories - Alternative Romance, Contemporary Romance, Historical Romance, Two Image Covers, Series Romance, and our infamous Worst category. There are ten finalists in each category. Stop by Cover Cafe and vote in at least three of the categories even if you are not a romance reader...voting is fun!
